Im Büro gab es diese Woche die Entscheidung, den Termin für die Produktivschaltung unserer Software vom 1.9. auf Ende September zu verschieben.
Ursache dafür ist aber dann nicht HP oder unsere Software, sondern der Kunde selbst. Die Kollegen von dort brauchen länger Zeit um die Migrationsdaten zu bereinigen und verifizieren.
Das hat nun den Vorteil, dass ich nächstes Wochenende und am darauf folgenden Dienstag (ein Feiertag) doch nicht arbeiten muss :-).
Dafür werde ich dann zu Beginn von Hari Raya im Büo sein, sodass die Anwender nach ihrer Rückkehr mit der neuen Software arbeiten können.
 
Für das kommende Wochenende (28./29.) hab ich mir dann mal noch kurzfristig ein Reiseziel ausgesucht.
Da werde ich dann von Freitag Abend bis Sonntag Abend nach Jakarta, Indonesien fliegen.

The steering committee of the customer decided this week to postpone the go-live date for our software from 1st September to end of September.
But luckily, HP or our software is not the reason for that. The employees of the customer just need more time for cleansing and verifying the data which shall be migrated from their current system.
So, I won’t have to work next weekend and also on the holiday the week after :-).
But it looks like that I’ve to stay some of the early Hari Raya days in the office to make the software ready until all get back from the long holidays-
 
When I got the message, I immediately looked for a place I can go to next weekend (28./29.).
I’ll depart on Friday evening and get back on Sunday evening. It’ll be my first visit to Indonesia, to the capital Jakarta.
