Heute gibt es dann mal von einem IT-Problem zu berichten.
Um Daten aus einem alten Projekt zu bekommen, hab ich mich heute vom Büro mal per UMTS ins HP-Netzwerk eingewählt.
Die gesuchten Daten hab ich dann nicht gefunden, dafür dann ein Update meiner Firewall.
Das hatte dann zur Folge, dass jegliche Zugriffe auf das Proton-Netzwerk, HP-Netzwerk oder das Internet blockiert wurden :-(.
Und zusätzlich hat die Software auch noch einen guten Schutz gegen Deaktivierung.
Hat mich dann mehr als 1 Stunde gekostet, bis ich die Software komplett deaktiviert habe und wieder arbeiten konnte.
Jetzt werde ich dann wohl ohne Firewall leben, kein McAfee mehr ;-).

Today, a report from an IT problem.
For fetching data from an old project, I connected to the HP network via UMTS this morning in the office.
I didn’t find the data I was looking for but instead got an update for my firewall software.
As a result of this, all request to the Proton network, the HP network or the internet have been blocked :-(.
In addition, the software has quite a good protection for not being disabled by end-users.
Took me nearly 1 hour to completely disable the software and being able to continue work.
Now, I’ll be living without any firewall, no McAfee anymore ;-).
