Salzburg, Österreich / Austria
Von München ging es dann weiter nach Salzburg. Aufgrund eines kurz danach stattfindenden Wirtschaftkongresses in Wien hatte Österreich zeitweise wieder Grenzkontrollen eingeführt. Wird wurden natürlich gleich rausgezogen :P. Da der Kontrolleur vermutlich noch nicht sehr viele Reisepässe aus Malaysia gesehen hatte, mussten wir einige Minuten dort warten bevor es dann weiter ging ;-). /
We drove from Munich to Salzburg in Austria. As some economic congress took place, Austria did some border control and we got pulled out for a detail check :P. As the officer most likely did not yet see many Malaysian passports, we had to wait some minutes but could then continue our way ;-).

 
 

Königssee
Von Salzburg ging es weiter nach Schönau am Königssee. Ein wunderschöner Gebirgssee mit tollem Bergmotiv, glasklarem Wasser sowie der Wallfahrtskapelle St. Bartholomä, die man per Schiff erreichen kann. /
Next stop was Schönau at the Königssee (King’s lake). A nice mountain lake with nice Alps scenery, crystal clear water and St. Bartolomä, a pilgrimage church which can be reached by boat.

 
 

Schwangau
Am folgenden Tag ging es dann nach Schwangau im Allgäu mit dem Alpsee, dem Schloss Hohenschwangau sowie dem Märchenschloss Neuschwanstein. Besonders das letzte ist dann doch ein sehr beeindruckendes Bauwerk und zurecht ein sehr frequentiertes Touristenziel :-). /
The next day, we visited the small town Schwangau. They have another nice mountain lake: Alpsee and 2 castles: Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. The last one got constructed by Ludwig II. of Bavaria and is told to be one of the most beautiful castles on the world. It’s also one of the most visited sights in Germany with way more than 1 million visitors per year and because of its beauty it’s really worth visiting :-).
