English
On Sunday morning, I first went to the city center to get a cozy breakfast and to look at some various sculptures there.
Then I went to the ferry terminal and took one of the boats for a ride to the other side of the Swan River which took around 10 minutes.

Perth Zoo

The Perth zoo is located there and I spent some hours in there.
The zoo is quite large, clean and very interesting :-).
They show a large number of species and visitors can see also species which can rarely be seen in German zoos.

After the visit in the zoo, I went back to the city to buy some last souvenirs.
Since the return flight was scheduled for Monday morning 6 clock and hence the check-in had to take place early in the morning at 4 a.m., I planned to drive to the airport already in the late evening and spend the time with reading, eating, etc. So, I saved another night in the hotel and didn’t have to get up in the middle of the night.
The Australian authorities are not only very accurate for immigration, but are also having strict checks before leaving the country.

Perth Zoo

To immigrate to Malaysia, people need either a Visa (applies for me) or visitors of a high number of countries may travel to Malaysia and get a 90 days “visitors visa” during immigration. But only under the condition, that the person already has a booked travel (train, flight, bus or ship) for leaving Malaysia again during this time frame. At the beginning (when I was still without visa), I violated this rule a few times but the people at the immigration in Malaysia never did any check on this.
But Australia is also keeping an eye on that. Several people had to show tickets for return or connecting flights to the officers before they got their boarding pass.

And also the security checks are more strict than what I’ve seen before.
I already carried a lot of time several liquids or gels (tooth paste, sometime even water bottles) in my carry-on luggage but never got any complaint on this.
But Australia enforces the rules here more strict. So it happened that e.g. many handbags got rejected and the women had to put lipstick and other cosmetics in small plastic bags ;-).
After passing all checks, the flight left (with just a few minutes delay) and I had a nice flight back to Kuala Lumpur :-).
