Nach einer kurzen Pause zur Erholung und zum Umziehen, ging es dann weiter zur Hochzeit von Norlianna’s Cousin. Die Hochzeit war dann auch der Hauptgrund, weshalb sie an diesem Wochenende nach Kuantan gefahren sind.
Mittlerweile schon meine 6. Hochzeit hier in Malaysia, mehr als die ganzen Jahre zuvor in Deutschland.
Aber diese Hochzeit war dann doch etwas besonderes, da es sich um eine vergleichsweise reiche Familie handelt.
So gab es dann neben dem “Standard-Essen” noch ein gegrilltes Lamm, eine große Hochzeitstorte sowie eine Live-Band.
Und auch die hier obligatorischen Geschenke für die Gäste fielen größer außer als anderswo ;-).

Nach der Hochzeit haben wir Norlianna’s Mutter wieder zu Hause abgeliefert, dafür dann Hatman’s Schwester inklusive Sohn eingeladen.
Zusammen ging es dann nach Cherating, einer bekannten Urlaubsstadt an der Ostküste. Unter anderem wurde hier vor vielen Jahren der erste ClubMed Asiens eröffnet.
Wir sind dann ein paar Minuten am Strand entlang gelaufen, haben Souvenirläden besucht und eine Kleinigkeit gegessen.

After a small break to rest and change clothes, we went to the wedding of Norlianna’s cousin. The wedding was the main reason why they want back that weekend.
That was already my 6th wedding here in Malaysia, even more than I had in Germany all the years before ;-).
But this wedding was a bit special as the family is considerably rich.
Besides the default dishes, they even grilled some lamb and also had a large wedding cake and even a live Band.
And also the small gift all visitors are getting here have been more luxurious than on other weddings ;-).

After the wedding, we dropped Norliana’s mum at her house and picked up Hatman’s sister and her son instead.
We then drove to Cherating together, a famous vacation city at the Malaysian east coast. Quite some years ago, the first ClubMed in Asia has been opened there.
We just wandered around the beach for a while, looked at some souvenir stores and at some small food.
