Fußball ist wie überall natürlich auch hier in Malaysia eine der populärsten Sportarten.
Aufgrund der sehr schlechten Qualität ist das aber nicht die lokale Liga, sondern zu den beliebtesten Teams gehören Mannschaften aus Spanien und vor allem aus England.
In Sportgeschäften findet man dann in der Regel auch nur Trikots einiger weniger Mannschaften: Manchester United, Arsenal London, FC Liverpool, Chelsea London (alle British Premier League) sowie FC Barcelona, Real Madrid (beide Spanien) sowie einige Nationalmannschaften.
Daher war ich dann überrascht als ich vor wenigen Tagen ein Trikot des FC Bayern München in einem lokalen adidas-Shop gesehen habe ;-).
Wie man bei der Auflistung oben feststellen kann, gibt es meist auch keine Trikots der lokalen Mannschaften in größeren Sportgeschäften.
Heute bin ich dann aber zufällig auf ein Trikot der lokalen Mannschaft hier (Selangor FA, das erfolgreichste Team in der hiesigen Fußballhistorie, ähnlich wie der oben genannte Verein in Deutschland ;-)) gestoßen. Da das Trikot mit dem rot-gelben Design gut aussieht, von adidas hergestellt wird und mit 45 Ringgit (knapp 11 Euro) dann auch bedeutend günstiger ist als die Shirts in Deutschland, hab ich gleich zugeschlagen :P.

Like in many other places on the world, football is one of the most popular sports in Malaysia.
But due to the bad quality the local league is not famous, but the most famous teams are coming from Spain and England.
In sports shop you can buy jerseys of a few teams: Manchester United, Arsenal London, FC Liverpool, Chelsea London (all British Premier League) and FC Barcelona, Real Madrid (both Spain) as well as the jersey of some national teams.
So, I was quite surprised to find a jersey of the German team FC Bayern München (Munich) in a local Adidas shop few days ago ;-).
The list above is not containing any local team as you hardly find their jerseys in local stores.
But today I accidentally stumbled over a jersey of the team of the state I’m living in (Selangor FA, the most successful team in Malaysian football history). As the jersey has a nice red-yellow design, is produced by Adidas and is with just 45 Ringgit (around 11 Euro) much way cheaper as the jerseys in Germany (around 70 Euro), I just couldn’t resist and bought one of them :P.
