Sonntags, dem letzten Tag vor dem Abflug, an dem ich nicht ins Büro musste, ging es zu Hutan Lipur Kanching, bzw. Kanching Wasserfälle.
Das sind insgesamt 7 verschiedene Wasserfälle an denen man durch Wege und Treppen nach oben steigen kann.
Ein wirklich sehr interessanter Erholungspark :-).

Wenn dann nur ein Problem nicht wäre: Müll.
Es scheint in Malaysia allgemein üblich zu sein, seine Abfälle nicht mit nach Hause zu nehmen sondern in irgendwelchen Ecken liegen zu lassen.
Damit werden manche sonst tolle Plätze dann doch auch beeinträchtigt :-(.

Und ein weiteres Phänomen: Platz in der Natur + Menschen => viele Affen.
So gab es auch dort eine Vielzahl an Affen. Dies liegt wohl auch daran, dass die Leute dort den Affen verschiedene Kleinigkeiten zu essen geben.

Sunday, the last day on a weekend before their departure, we went to Hutan Lipur Kanching, also called Kanching Falls.
There, you can use tracks and stairs to see up to 7 different waterfalls located in this interesting recreational park :-).
People also use the waterfalls to get some refreshment from the hot weather.

There seems to be just one general problem in Malaysia at such spots: rubbish.
It seems to be common that people throw their stuff into nature instead of taking them to the next trash can or back home.
Some really nice places get kind of damaged by such people :-(.

And there’s another phenomena: place in nature + many people => lots of monkeys.
Also there, quite a lot of monkeys walked around the parking lot and some of the waterfalls frequented by the people.
I assume, the main reason for the high population there that the people feed the monkeys with a lot of small food.
