Hier in Malaysia gibt es einige tolle Dinge ;-).
So habe ich heute raus bekommen, dass Tauchen in speziellen Gebieten hier vom Staat subventioniert wird, sofern man in Malaysia lebt. (Gilt für Einwohner und Leute mit Arbeitserlaubnis)
Hier mal 2 Beispiele: 1300 RM statt 1700 RM oder bei einer der teuersten (aber auch schönsten) Tauchgegend 3700 RM statt knapp 5000 RM ;-).
Über die Hari Raya Feiertage (Ende des Fastenmonats, 10 Tage frei) möchte ich Tauchen gehen.
Problem ist da nur, dass mein Visum am 10. September ausläuft. Aktuell läuft zwar der Prozess bzgl. die Diskussion über eine Verlängerung des Visums, aber nicht sicher, ob das dafür schon reicht :P.
Daher werde ich evtl. nach Bali gehen und dann später mal ein verlängertes Wochenende zum Tauchen hier einlegen.

Today, I got to know about another nice thing here in Malaysia ;-).
Scuba Diving is here subsidies in several region by the government. That’s valid for all citizens and expatriates (people having working permit in Malaysia).
2 Examples I got from a friend: 1300 RM instead of 1700 RM or in the most important region (but also said to be the most beautiful one) 3700 RM instead of around 5000 RM :-).
I plan to go for some days of diving during Hari Raya holidays. That’s the celebration for the end of Ramadhan and I’ve around 10 days off.
The problem is now that my working permit just expires this time and so I’m not eligible for the subsidy. People from HP Malaysia and HP Germany are currently discussing / working on the extension of the Visa but it’s unlikely that I’ve it till the vacation :P.
So, I think about going to Bali during the holidays and taking some other long weekend off to do some diving in Malaysia :-).
