Am 3. Tag in Bali ging es dann zum Tauchen nach Nusa Penida.
Die Tauchplätze an dieser etwa 45 Minuten entfernten Insel gelten als die schönsten in Bali. Aufgrund der oftmals sehr starken Strömungen aber auch als die schwierigsten.
Das Tauchen hier hat dann aber für die beiden vorherigen Tage entschädigt, da es einfach nur toll war :-).

An diesem Tag bin ich mit einer Gruppe aus Thailand getaucht. Vor dem Sprung ins Wasser, hieß es aber erstmal warm anziehen.
Anstatt sonst so um die 30° ist die Temperatur dort nur bei knapp 25° Celsius.
Aufgrund der nur minimalen Bewegungen im Wasser, kommt einem das dann schon etwas kalt vor ;-).
Die Gruppe aus Thailand hatte mehrere Schichten am Körper und auch Handschuhe sowie Taucherkappe auf ;-).
Ich hab dann unter dem Taucheranzug dann noch ein langes Shirt angezogen, so dass es dann in Ordnung war.

Der erste Tauchgang wurde am Tauchplatz “Manta Point” gemacht.
Und wie es der Name schon sagt, haben wir zum guten Start in den Tag gleich 2 Manta Rays gesehen, einfach tolle Tiere :-).

Beim 2. Tauchgang sahen wir dann einen Fisch, der an diesem Platz sehr oft gesichtet wird: “Mola Mola”.
Der Fisch mit dem Namen Mondfisch (englisch: Sun Fish) gilt als der schwerste Knochenfisch der Welt. Laut Wikipedia kann er mehr als 2 Tonnen schwer werden.
Auch wenn das Exemplar, was wir gesehen haben ein kleineres Exemplar war.
Im selben Tauchgang ist dann auch noch ein kleiner Hai 2 Runde um unsere Gruppe geschwommen ;-).

Danach ging es dann zur Mittagspause vor einem kleinen Fischerdorf auf der Insel.
Der Tag ging dann mit einem 3. Tauchgang zu Ende, auf welchem es viele Pflanzen und dann noch eine Schildkröte zu sehen gab.
Das Tauchen in Nusa Penida war einfach toll :-).
Ein Grund dafür sind dann vermutlich die nicht so einfachen Verhältnisse, so dass nicht allzu viele Touristen dort sind und die Tiere stören.

For the third day, I went diving in Nusa Penida, an island around 45 minutes from Bali.
The dive spots there are among the most beautiful in Bali. But also due to strong currents, one of the most difficult ones.
Diving there was just awesome 🙂 and a compensation for the diving the 2 days before ;-).

This day, I was on the boat with a group from Thailand. But before jumping into the sea, we first had to dress us appropriately.
Instead of around 30° common for the region here, the water temperature is down to 25° Celsius.
As you’re not moving that much while diving, this already feels a bit cold ;-).
Due to that, the guys from Thailand put on several layers, gloves and also hoods ;-).
I’ve been wearing a 2nd shirt below my wet suit and then felt comfortable.

On the 2nd dive, we saw a fish which is seen there frequently: “Mola Mola”.
The Sun Fish (German name: moon fish) is told to be the most heaviest bone fish on the world. According to Wikipedia one of it may be as heavy as 2 tons. Though we only saw a juvenile one.
During the same dive, we saw a small shark crossing around our group 2 times ;-).

Afterwards, we stopped for lunch near a small fishermen village.
To complete the day, we did a 3 dive and saw a lot of plants and also a turtle at the end.
Diving in Nusa Penida was just awesome :-).
One reason for the beauty there is the not so easy conditions which results in less tourists being there and disturbing the animals ;-).
