Mit dem Flieger kam ich dann zur frühen Morgenstunde in Perth an, dort war dann aber schon schöner Sonnenschein angesagt :-).
Vom Flughafen ging’s dann kurz zum Hotel und dann stand Sightseeing in der Stadt an:

• Zuerst ging es in die Innenstadt. Die hat mich dann sofort an Deutschland erinnert.
  Anstatt großer und klotziger Einkaufszentren wie hier in Malaysia gibt es dort 2 Fußgängerzonen mit vielen kleinen Läden :-).
• Danach wurde dann die Stadt erkundet mit den vielen Kirchen sowie einem der Wahrzeichen der Stadt: den Swan Bells, einem Glockenturm am Ufer des Swan Rivers.
• Anschließend ging es auf eine Rundtour durch die Stadt. Dafür hab ich dann einen der kostenlosen Shuttle-Busse genommen, die auf 3 Linien alle wichtigen Punkte im Stadtkern ansteuern :-).
• Zum Abschluss des Tages ging es dann noch in den Kings Park, einen sehr großen Park auf einem Hügel oberhalb des Stadtzentrums gelegen.
  Dafür standen dann erst einmal eine Vielzahl an Stufen an, aber der Weg nach oben hat sich für ein schönes Grün mit Ausblick über die Stadt und verschiedenen Kriegsdenkmälern auf jeden Fall gelohnt :-).

I arrived early in the morning at the International airport in Perth and got welcomed by some nice sunshine :-).
From there, I took a cab to shortly stop at my hotel before doing some sightseeing in the city:

• First, I went to the city center and I felt like being in Germany ;-).
  Instead of big and bulky shopping malls like here in Malaysia, Perth has 2 street malls with a lot on nice, small shops :-).
• Afterwards, I explored the city with a lot of churches and one of the most famous sights of the city: the Swan Bells, a bell tower just besides Swan Rivers.
• Following, I did a round trip through the city. For that, I used one of the free shuttle buses which are driving around the city on 3 lines and visiting all important places in the city center :-).
• As the last sight of the day, I visited Kings Park, a large park located on top of a hill above the city center.
  For that, I need to climb a big number of stairs but it was worth it to see this green oasis with a nice view over the city and several war memorials :-).
