Für Samstag und Sonntag stand dann ein Stadtrundgang mit dem Besuch der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Singapur an.
Samstags ging es zuerst in die berühmte Einkaufsstraße Orchard Street und danach dann zum Mittagessen in das Einkaufszentrum Suntec City. Dort ist mit der “Fountain of Wealth” einer der angeblich größten Brunnen der Welt zu finden.

Anschließend ging es dann mit dem Bus zum Singapur Flyer. Das weltgrößte Riesenrad hab ich wie bei meinem ersten Besuch im Februar wieder für eine knapp halbstündige Fahrt verwendet.
Von dort hatte man dann auch einen tollen Blick auf das Marina Bay Sands Gebäude. Ein riesiges Resort mit Hotel, Kasino und Musical-Theater. Bei meinem Besuch früher dieses Jahr war das Gebäude dann noch im Bau und wurde im Juli oder August feierlich eröffnet. Gebaut mit 3 hohen Gebäuden und einem großen Gebilde oben drauf, dass die Türme verbindet.
Auf der Spitze befinden sich einige Restaurants und ein großen Sky Park. Auch als Besucher kann man hoch und von einer Besucherplattform die Stadt überblicken.
Das Gebäude befindet sich jedoch am anderen Ende der Marina Bay, so dass wir dann aufgrund des heißen Wetters auf einen Besuch dort verzichteten.

Als Pflichtattraktion gilt dann natürlich noch der Merlion, der am Samstag den Schlusspunkt in der Stadt bildete. Danach ging es dann kurz ins Hotel und dann zur Night Safari.
Am Sonntag ging es zur Arab Street mit der berühmten Sultan Mosque und dann noch zu Sentosa Island.
Dort stand dann einfach noch eine Runde relaxen mit am Strand liegen an bevor es dann auch wieder zum Flughafen und zurück nach Kuala Lumpur ging.

Der Trip nach Singapur hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt, waren nette Tage :-).
Über den ersten und wohl besten Punkt des Trips mit dem Besuch der Universal Studios am Freitag werde ich die Tage auch noch ausführlich berichten ;-).

Saturday and Sunday have been used to do some sightseeing in Singapore.
We started Saturday morning with visiting Orchard Road, the famous shopping road in Singapore. But all we bought were just some souvenirs ;-).
After that, we visited Suntec City, a shopping and convention center. They’ve the “Fountain of Wealth” there which is told to be on of the largest fountains worldwide.

Afterwards, we took a bus and went to Singapore Flyer. Like on my first visit, I did a 30 minutes ride on world’s largest ferris wheel.
From up there, we had a nice view on the Marina Bay Sands building. That’s a large resort with hotel, casino and musical theater.
During my 1st visit earlier this year it was still under construction but in the meanwhile got opened in July or August. It consists of three tower buildings and a large rooftop connecting the towers.
On top of it, there’s some restaurant an a large sky park. And also visitors have the possibility to get up and get a view over the city from a view point up there.
But unfortunately, the building is on the totally opposite side of the road and as it was quite hot we relinquished to visit it this time.

And as a list sight in the city on Saturday we did the mandatory stop at Merlion. Afterwards, we shortly went to the hotel and then left for Night Safari.
On Sunday, we visited Arab Street with the famous Sultan Mosque and then went to Sentosa Island.
Just for relaxing while lying at then beach before leaving for the airport to get back to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday night.

It was really worth visiting Singapore for a second time. I had some nice days there :-).
And I’ll post the next days about the first and best point of the trip: the visit to Universal Studio on Friday ;-).
